Dr. Paul Gannon
Dr. Gannon’s research interests include materials science and engineering for advanced energy technologies (see publications page). Through various research and development positions, Dr. Gannon has professional experience at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Arcomac Surface Engineering, LLC, Insight Energy Solutions, LLC, and Montana State University, and currently enjoys an international collaborative network of scientists and engineers from industry, national laboratories and academia.
Paul earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from MSU in 2007 (under Prof. Max Deibert) investigating solid oxide fuel cell interconnects, protective coatings and advanced physical vapor deposition technologies. Dr. Gannon continued to work with Prof. Deibert as a Research Assistant Professor in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department through August 2008, when he became an Assistant Professor. Since 2008, Paul has directed the high-temperature energy materials laboratory, and integrates research and education related to energy conversion systems and materials.
